Inside this activity book

Children explore familiar little creatures including butterflies, bees, ladybugs, caterpillars, ants, dragonflies, grasshoppers, and fireflies. Each page includes a large coloring activity together with simple prompts such as “What does the bee collect?”, “What will the caterpillar become?”, “How high can the grasshopper jump?” and “When do fireflies shine?” to encourage children to think, talk, notice details, and make connections while they create.

Rather than focusing only on coloring, the activities use an inquiry-inspired approach that encourages children to explore, wonder, answer questions, draw extra details, and express their own ideas. The final “Bug Friends” page also invites children to recognize different insects and create one more bug friend of their own.
